Worsted Spinning New England / WSNE is the successor to Jagger Brothers’ worsted spinning business, which was initially founded more than 100 years ago with the renowned Goodall Mills organization as its primary customer. At one time, the Jagger mill operated 3 shifts, shipping millions of pounds a year of the highest quality worsted spun yarns. Serving many aspects of the textile industry in North America and becoming known for specialty fibers and spins, including core-spun lycra yarn, Jagger Brothers evolved to a primary focus on the hand knitting and weaving sectors.

In order to secure the mill’s tradition of making fine quality custom spun yarn, WSNE was founded and purchased Jagger Brother’s manufacturing equipment and operations in early 2019. This seemed to be a natural fit as the family of WSNE’s owner also hails from the Sanford-Springvale area for many generations, has previously been involved in agribusiness, and has known the Jagger family for decades. Now in our 7th year, WSNE has added a wholesale business to complement our custom spinning business, while continuing to rely on decades-old relationships with trusted fiber suppliers globally and continuing to serve many long-standing yarn customers. Of course, the bedrock of our business continues to be the unparalleled skill, versatility, and dedication of long-standing employees.
